Nina Kiri (The Handmaid's Tale) leads a stellar cast as Nina, a Serbian refugee repeating her last year of high school in a new country wanting to be done with the grind of school, and free of her emotionally volatile mother, Jasna (Mirjana Jokovic).As Nina tries to escape high school in one piece, and lays out plans for a future that is her own, Jasna attempts to hustle her way to prosperity through a lascivious business man that she meets at her job.When both of their plans start going south, Nina is forced to go down a very different road in order to make sure that she and her mother won't be out on the street. This is a heartfelt, exciting, and bold directorial debut from director Sanja Zivkovic, with incredibly compelling performances by Mirjana Jokovic and Nina Kiri, all of whom show that they are forces to be reckoned with.
